Helene Scheff

The LODC family is sorry to hear of the passing of Helene Scheff.

Helene was instrumental in the planning and creation of our late founder Dr. Ann Hutchinson Guest's Dance Archaeology sessions for the National Dance Education Organization Conferences. Together, Helene and Ann could do anything, and beginning in 2014, they held 7 of these outstanding sessions, the last one was even remote! We have always been so grateful for Helene's support of Ann and the Language of Dance work.

Helene was a charter member of the Dance Alliance of RI and had a long career as a Dance Educator and administrator. After her retirement, she dedicated many years as a volunteer for NDEO and Dance Alliance of Rhode Island. Her service to the field of dance education was exemplary and inspiring.

We send our love to Helene's family and dance education friends. We know her incredible legacy will live on.
